The Coulee Region area of the country, both in Wisconsin and Minnesota, is a truly unique and beautiful area of the country. In addition to being a rewarding place to live, the Real Estate market is strong and healthy on a consistent basis. Here are some tips to help you in making those first steps to buying a home in our area.
- Find an agent that you can work with. Agents are not all the same and not every agent is right for every buyer. Interviewing agents is a great way to find an agent with a personality that matches your needs. Your agent should be knowledgable of the area, a strong communicator, and committed to helping you throughout the transaction and after.
- Financial Lending is important. In this market, a Pre-approval letter is a must before viewing any properties. A Pre-Approval gives you peace of mind, knowing what price range you are comfortable in. Nothing is more discouraging than falling in love with a house that is out of your price range and I am a huge beleiver in not having my clients be "house poor". The Coulee Region has many quality lenders to work with, including banks, credit unions and mortgage brokerage companies. Sometimes, a local lender is a better option to sellers versus a large financial, as the lender is local and easy to contact.
